What we collect, and why.
Alpha Foundation is in a pre-launch window. Right now the only user data we handle is the email you give us when you sign up for updates.
What you give us
When you submit the sign-up form on the landing page, we capture:
- Your email address — lower-cased and trimmed.
- Where the signup came from — hero form or CTA section, so we can tell which surface converts.
- A submission timestamp in UTC.
- Your browser's user-agent and referring URL — truncated to 256 characters each, used only to filter bots and spam submissions.
That's it. No name, no company, no IP address is persisted, no cookies are set by the sign-up form itself.
What we do with it
We use your email for exactly one thing: to reach out when early access opens, or when there's a material update you asked to hear about. No newsletters by default, no sharing with third parties, no marketing partners.
Where it lives
Sign-ups are written to an append-only file on the server running Alpha Foundation. That file is not checked into source control and is not exposed via any public endpoint. Access is limited to the founding team.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how they navigate the site. GA sets a small number of first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) used to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. The data Google receives includes the page URL, referrer, screen resolution, approximate location (city-level, derived from IP), and a randomly-generated device identifier. We do not link this data to your email or any account information.
Google Analytics is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out site-wide by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by enabling Do Not Track / blocking third-party scripts in your browser.
Manage your cookie preferences
On your first visit to Alpha Foundation we ask whether to enable analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies — the ones that keep you signed in or remember beta access — are always on, because the site doesn't work without them. To change your analytics choice at any time, click below.
If we add any other tracking, advertising, or session-replay tools, we'll update this page before they ship.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the signup record we hold for your email.
- Delete it, at any time, for any reason or no reason.
- Correct it, if you gave us a typo'd address.
Email the address below and we'll action the request within 7 days.
Changes to this page
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the "Last updated" stamp above and, where we still have an email relationship with you, send you a note before the change takes effect.
